Historic Eliot School to Become Affordable Housing in Natick

In June of 2023, Metro West Collaborative Development and the Town of Natick executed an agreement to develop the town-owned property at 5 Auburn Street into 100% affordable housing. Metro West was selected as the developer of this property through an extensive RFP process led by the town’s Select Board.

Meet the Team

  • Caitlin Madden

    Caitlin is the Executive Director of Metro West Collaborative Development. Prior to joining Metro West CD as Deputy Director in June 2021, Caitlin spent nearly a decade working for mission-driven affordable housing development organizations in Massachusetts including Urban Edge, a Boston-based CDC, and the Planning Office for Urban Affairs, a Boston-based private non-profit developer. She is experienced in all aspects of development, including acquisition, design, finance, and construction and has been involved in a wide range of project types including complex historic adaptive reuse, affordable residential, mixed-use, scattered site, supportive housing, and mixed-income housing. Caitlin graduated with a BA from the University of Denver and an MBA from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

  • Sharone Small

    Sharone is the Director of Real Estate at Metro West Collaborative Development, which she joined in 2022. She has seven years of experience in affordable housing development, including all stages of the development process. Before joining Metro West, Sharone worked at Urban Edge Housing Corporation, a Boston-based CDC, in the Real Estate Department. Sharone has an SB from MIT and a Masters of City and Regional Planning from the Rutgers Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.

  • Chelsea Gaylord

    As the Senior Real Estate Project Manager at Metro West CD, Chelsea manages all aspects of the development process for affordable housing projects in the organization’s pipeline. Chelsea joined the team in December 2023 after completing a Master’s in Public Policy and certificate in real estate development from the University of Michigan. She brings over eight years of experience in community and economic development to Metro West CD and has worked in national and global contexts to help communities shape economic mobility and real estate development strategies.
